What a treat! I was recently allowed to collect the materials to create this arrangement from out of a friend’s garden. There was such a delightful selection on offer don’t you think? The challenge of not being able to use oasis foam meant that I experimented with using a fabulous trick which I will show you below. Such an interesting and beautiful selection of flowers really enabled me to take the award for 1st place in the Intermediate section at the club night and the prize for Best use of Garden Plant Material.
You can make the grid as wide or as narrow as you require. I made the one in this arrangement about 1cm square since the alliums in the top of the arrangement were fairly heavy and needed a good deal of stability.

The David Austen Rosa William Shakespeare looks amazing! 🙂
It really is a fabulous rose and got loads of appreciative comments and questions at flower club. Quite a few people wondered if it was a peony.
