CLUB COMPETITION EXHIBIT FOR JUNE 2015. ARRANGED IN A GLASS CONTAINER WITH NO OASIS. GARDEN MATERIAL WAS TO PREDOMINATE.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00a0In this arrangement are: Allium Purple Sensation, Paeonia lactiflora ‘Mons. Jules Elie’, Dicentra eximia ‘alba’ (White Bleeding Heart), Luneria annua ‘Honesty seed heads’, \u00a0<\/span>Alchemilla mollis, Clematis, Dianthus caryophyllus, Heuchera Leaves, Rosa William Shakespeare 2000 (David Austin Rose), Chive flower, Papaver orientalis seed heads<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What a treat!\u00a0 I was recently\u00a0allowed to collect the materials to create this arrangement from out of\u00a0a friend’s garden.\u00a0 There was such a delightful\u00a0selection on offer don’t you think?\u00a0\u00a0The challenge of not being able to use\u00a0oasis foam meant that I\u00a0experimented with\u00a0using a fabulous trick which I will show you below.\u00a0 Such an interesting and beautiful selection of flowers\u00a0 really enabled me to take the award for\u00a01st place in the Intermediate section at the club night and the prize for Best use of Garden Plant Material.<\/p>\n

Flower arranging tip- Place clear cellophane tape in a grid, across the top of your bowl, vase or jar. This is especially important if you\u2019re working with a wide-mouthed bowl or vase It will give your arrangement stability.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You can make the grid as wide or as narrow as you require.\u00a0 I made the one in this arrangement about 1cm square since the alliums in the top of the arrangement were fairly heavy and needed a good deal of stability.<\/p>\n
